Barclay Shaw Unknown I purchased this quite some time ago. The only info I have is that it was professional framed by "Fabulous Frames" in Cincinnati. I'd greatly appreciate any additional info about this piece. |

Frank Kelly Freas Technophobe Frank & Laura's sticker on the back indicates this was an auction piece, with a min bid of $75 and a "quick sale" of $100. Labeled "Technophobe", and marked "Felt Tip". No date, but the artist's address is "West Hills" (CA), which used to be part of Van Nuys (CA) until 1984, and so must be after that date. |

Frank Kelly Freas The Savage Report No. 2 This is an illustration that Mr. Freas apparently drew specifically for sale at a convention, although it might be from a book. |

Joe Bergeron Fear of Flying Signed and dated 1981 on the back. A humorous piece, but I don't know if it was published. |

Peter Andrew Jones The Crystal Caves Jones painted the covers of many an Amiga computer game. This one is from 1984 (just prior to the Amiga's release), and was the cover of Warlock Magazine #2. Info about the artist and the title is on the back. I acquired it some time around the turn of the millennium. |

Unknown They Went North Along The Esplanade Penciled on the back: "They Went North Along the Esplanade page 100." I believe this was used for a Jack Vance story. It's not signed, so perhaps this was a house artist for a SF magazine? |

Thomas Canty Unknown This is on vellum (although probably not sheepskin.) Probably a preliminary sketch? Canty has won two World Fantasy Awards for Best Artist. |

Linda Michaels Literary Cat Linda Michaels was nominated for a Hugo award for best fan artist in 1993, 1994, and 1995. She also apparently had at least one book cover published; a Runequest role-playing game manual in 1983. |

Robert Kline Flying Cars Probably unpublished. I'm still waiting for my flying car! 8.25" x 11" colored pencil drawing on black construction paper; signed and dated '68. Kline is well-known for his work on fanzines of the era, the legendary "Anomaly" in particular, where he provided a very nice Robert E. Howard portfolio, among many other SF and fantasy illustrations and some cover art. |

Matt Hughes Untitled Purchased from the artist in 2001. This sketch is on thin tracing paper (or maybe vellum.) This one did not quite fit on my scanner. |

AldoSpadoni The View From Saturn's Moon Unpublished piece, purchased in 2003. I happened to meet Mr. Spadoni in October of 2008, and he added "This piece was painted in 1974 when I was in high school. I sold it at the Art Show auction of the World Science Fiction Convention in Wash DC that same year. I don’t have a record of who purchased it and who else may have owned it since. It’s painted using Designer’s Gouache (opaque water colors), not Acrylics. It has never been published. Yes, I switched to digital rendering techniques in the early 1990’s and have not created a painting “by hand” since that time. I sure do miss those originals!" |
