The Ka of Gifford Hillary

By Dennis Wheatley, published in 1956 by Hutchinson.

Ribbon copy manuscript with holographic corrections in ink and pencil. 558 pages, typed onto octavo sheets. What makes this even more interesting is that it has a different ending to the published novel. The manuscript continues beyond the point where the novel ends with Gifford Hillary explaining how he intends to live the rest of his life having been saved from the gallows. Purchased from a dealer, who purchased it from a European dealer who had acquired it from a Swedish collector of Wheatley's work who himself had bought it at a Sotheby's auction in the early 1980s. It is unbound, the individual chapters being held together by paper clips, and is in very good condition.

One wonders if this manuscript was actually typed by Wheatley. It is not customary for the author to provide this information, is it?
