The original first and second draft manuscripts for this story, included in the 1988-89 special Avram Davidson issue of "Weird Tales". Corrections and additions in the author's hand throughout. Includes correspondence between the various parties preparing this issue, including the author, his agent, artist and publisher. Also includes the original painting by Hank Jankus, who died prior to publication. Also includes the signed and limited edition, #32 of 100, of the hardcover issue, signed by all except Jankus. Also includes the original draft of Gene Wolfe's personal reminiscences regarding Davidson, signed and with holographic corrections by Wolfe. All enclosed in a beautiful custom-made cloth clam shell case with the artwork loosely matted inside the front cover, a cloth portfolio for the manuscript, and a partition for the book. A great tribute to the writer.
The original artwork by Hank Jankus matted into the inside front cover.
The book is simply the magazine bound in plain cloth boards, with the signed limitation page tipped in the front.
